Appointments

How does it work?

It’s easy! Go to the book appointment page, choose how many oysters you want, and pick an available date/time. Once we have your appointment booked, we take care of everything else! All we need is a place to set up. We deliver, shuck and serve you fresh oysters in the comfort of your backyard or, wherever makes the most sense. When we’re done, we clean everything up and head out!

Do I need to set anything up?

Nope! Sit back, relax, and indulge! We have our own equipment and bring the oyster bar experience to you. Most appointments have us set up around their backyard, patio, or pool.

What kind of oysters do you serve?

We serve some of the best East Coast oysters flown in fresh overnight from our partner farms in New England. Take a look at our partner page to learn more about who we work with!

Do I need to clean anything up?

No, we take care of that too! This is a full service oyster bar experience.

Do you deliver to areas outside of Austin? 

We do! For all parties in the Lakeway, Round Rock, Dripping Springs, and other surrounding areas our fee is $3 per mile outside the Austin city limits.

How do I tip?

You can tip when you book your appointment online, or pay cash in person. Our shuckers are there to serve you as if you were at a restaurant. If you’d tip at a restaurant, we’d encourage you to do the same with our staff!

Cancellation Policy / Bad Weather

What is your cancellation policy? 

Our policy states that you can cancel up to 10 days in advance for a full refund. Anything under that time is subject to a cancellation fee (up to 50%). If you need to reschedule, we’re happy to accommodate at no penalty, we just ask that you give us at least 48 hours heads up!

What happens if there is bad weather?

We work around inclement weather! We can set up in a covered area in a backyard, garage, or inside your home. If you’d like to reschedule your appointment you can reschedule 7 days from the original date of the appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.

I just want raw oysters without the shucking - can you just sell me oysters?

Our appointments get priority on the oysters, but email us at hello@austinoysterco.com and we’ll see what we can do!


Do you do have appointments during the week?

We are open every week Thursday through Sunday, and typically don’t operate during the middle of the week. However if you have a special occasion or a specific need for an event during the week please reach out to hello@austinoysterco.com and we’ll see if we have availability.
